Welcome to the Berea Baptist Church! We hope you feel welcomed in our services. The most important part of today is for you to be 100% sure that Heaven will be your home when you die. Through our Sunday School classes, old-fashioned hymns, and Spirit-filled Bible preaching, we hope that you will know for sure that Heaven will be your home. We hope that you can also consider Berea as your home church to help build you and your family’s spiritual needs We are an old-fashioned Baptist church with an old- fashion Book, the King James Bible (KJV). We desire to help our city come to the knowledge of the TRUTH, which is Jesus Christ. We hope you enjoy our services.
BILINGUAL IS WHO WE ARE
Berea Baptist Church desires that everyone in Jacksonville have the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and come to the knowledge of salvation. We have a tremendous opportunity of accomplishing that through our bilingual services. Our services are held Sunday mornings, Sunday nights, as well as Thursday nights. All our services are preached in English and Spanish. It is our desire to do all that we can to meet the spiritual needs of our multicultural city.
OUR PASTOR
Pastor Nelson Palacios was saved at the age of fifteen in Miami, Florida where he later met his wife of now twenty years, formerly Karen Fuentes. Shortly after getting married, he was called to preach in 1998 at the age of twenty-three. In January of 2000, as a very young couple, he and his wife moved to Fleming Island, Florida to attend Bible college. In 2004, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Theology from Berean Baptist College. Pastor Palacios, his wife, and their three children, Liset, Esmeralda, and Nelson, were faithful members of the Berean Baptist Church where he started the Spanish Department in April of 2003. For fifteen years, he faithfully served the Lord as the Spanish Pastor; and in March of 2018, he answered God’s call to start the Berea Baptist Church in the great city of Jacksonville, Florida. Starting on July 1st, 2018, the Berea Baptist Church will open its doors and will have services in English as well as in Spanish to reach the city of Jacksonville with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a lively church where God’s Word is preached and spiritual hymns are sung for the glory of our Savior, then we invite you to come be part of this new and exciting work of God.

At Berea Baptist Church, we want everyone to get a chance to be under the preaching and fellowship of our local New Testament church. Attending church is such a vital part in the life of anyone who desires to glorify and serve our Lord. This is why we offer free transportation to and from church for all of our services to those in need of transportation.
